SINGING IN TUNE SERIES VIDEO #2:
Sounding good does not equal good singing! This is important to remember for vocal technique in general but especially when learning how to sing in tune. A really common misconception that beginning singers often make is that if they learn how to sing in tune, they will automatically like their default way of singing, or that they must sing in tune and sing a way they like all at once. Also, some singers don’t like the way that they sing and confuse that with singing out of tune, even though they are in tune. So in order to work on just singing in tune, don’t worry about whatever tone quality you happen to be singing with at the moment. Always and forever, making progress as a singer starts with singing in a way that feels good to do.
